It was back in 1991 when Stanford Newman first discussed his Diamond Crown idea with Carlos Fuente Sr. In celebration of his M & N Cigar Company's 100th anniversary, Stanford wanted to develope a truly exceptional series of cigars-unlike any other on the market. He didn't care what it cost, how much time it took, or even whether or not it would sell. Stanford Newman was in his mid 70's and his company was approaching its 100th anniversary. Creating the smoothest, most flavorful, full-bodied cigar possible was just something Stanford Newman wanted to do.

DIAMOND CROWN

Every Diamond Crown cigar has a 54 ring guage. What truly makes the taste of these cigars so special is its exclusive CFW wrapper (Connecticut Fermented Wrapper). This wrapper goes through a second fermentation. It is this second-curing that evens and developes the Rosado color of the tobacco wrapper, and this second curing also accounts for much of the sweet, smooth, rich flavor. A special blend of Dominican Cuban-seed filler tobacco provides a perfectly balanced taste.


MAXIMUS

From its especially rich El Bajo Sungrown wrapper harvested on the Oliva family's plantation, to its superb Fuente-style craftsmanship, to its highly unique packaging and presentation, there has never been a cigar like the Diamond Crown Maximus...ever! It has taken Carlos Fuente Jr. more than three years to develop this complex, fuller-bodied taste-but it was worth the wait. Despite its rich, dark Ecquador wrapper, Diamond Crown Maximus is not a Maduro cigar. The richest, hardiest and darkest tobacco that Carlos selects for Maximus comes from the top corona priming of the plant-and its availability is extremely limited.
